Vildread drew ever closer to the altar with her champions. They were draped in cloaks and had slipped past the pilgrims using deception. Even at this distance she could feel the effect of the Lamp, its light showing the many pathways in her mind, and the visions of success that could be in her life. However this was nothing compared to the obsene pleasure she had experienced giving herself to her patron and even the hallucinogens her warband had indulged in. The worshippers around the altar looked pathetic having gone into a dreamlike state not even aware of possible intruders.
She sensed another warband nearby also looking for the Lamp. There was no time to wait for the rest of her warband to catch up. It was time to snatch the Lamp and use it for the purpose the demons in the dark pool had instructed.
Overview
The warband that takes the Lamp off the board wins. Otherwise whoever routs loses.
Setup and Deployment
Place the Lamp in the center. Place 9 worshippers face down more than 6” but within 12” of the Lamp. Rolloff to deploy. Deploy 3 warriors of your choice 6” from a table edge. Your opponent depolys 3 chosen warriors within 6 of the opposite table edge.
The Lamp of Lucidity
The Lamp can be picked up if you end your movement on it, forgoing shooting and magic. It can be handed off to another warrior by foregoing actions. Out of Action results will cause the the relic to be dropped.
Catatonic or Prostrate worshippers
The worshippers start off face down in a Catatonic state. If they are disturbed when Catatonic, turn them over to become Prostrate. If they are distrubed when Prostrate, stand them up to become active.
Catatonic worshippers are automatically hit and taken OOA in combat. Prostrate worshippers need to be wounded before being automatically taken OOA.
Worshippers are disturbed in the following cases:
- Someone picked up the Lamp
- A non worshiper ended movement within 2” of them
- After blows were struck in combat (any number of combats count as just one occurence) within 12” of them
- a single instance of spellcasting within 12” of them
- being hit by a missle weapon
- a blackpowder weapon discharge occurs within 12” of them
Active/standing worshippers
- Treat as a 3rd warband
- Move or charge towards the nearest foe - Use standard human mercenary warrior profile armed with a club for Worshippers.
Reinforcements
At the start of your 2nd turn onwards, place random d3 warriors from your warband on your table edge.
